The ACT underwent important updates throughout 2025 to improve the testing experience and better reflect college readiness standards. Bright Leadership Academy stays fully up to date on these changes, ensuring students receive the most accurate information, effective strategies, and targeted preparation for success on the revised exam.
In April 2025, the ACT introduced the Enhanced ACT, a streamlined format designed to focus on essential college-readiness skills. Students testing online during the April National Test Day were the first to take the updated ACT Core Test, which features optional Science and Writing sections. During this transition period, students taking the paper-based ACT continued with the previous full-length exam for the April, June, and July 2025 test dates. Bright Leadership Academy guided students through both formats, helping them prepare confidently no matter which version they encountered.
Starting with the September 2025 National Test Day, all students—both online and paper-based—moved to the ACT Core Test with optional Science and Writing sections. Students participating in District or School Day testing continued using the full-length ACT through the end of 2025. Bright Leadership Academy supports students through every testing format and transition, providing customized preparation plans so they are always ready, informed, and confident on test day.
